  7. Soda Ash (Na2<\/span>CO3<\/span>)<\/li>
  8. Baking Soda (NaHCO3<\/span>)<\/li>
  9. Caustic Soda (NaOH)<\/li>
  10. Sodium Nitrate (NaNO3<\/span>)<\/li>
  11. Di & Tri-Sodium Phosphate<\/li>
  12. Sodium Thiosulfate (Na2<\/span>S2<\/span>O3<\/span>.5H2<\/span>O)<\/li>
  13. Borax (Na2<\/span>B4<\/span>O7<\/span>.10H2<\/span>O)<\/li>
  14. Sodium soaps are harder (higher melting) soaps than potassium soaps.<\/li>
  15. Sodium chloride is extensively used for anti-icing and de-icing and as a preservative.<\/li>
  16. Sodium bicarbonate is used for cooking.<\/li>
  17. Sodium Hydride is used as a base for various reactions (such as aldol reaction) in organic chemistry and as a reducing agent in inorganic chemistry.<\/li>
  18. First isolated by the electrolysis of Sodium Hydroxide and chloride.<\/li>
  19. Sodium is generally less reaction than Potassium and more reactive than lithium.<\/li>
  20. Sodium vapor lamps are often used for street lighting in cities.<\/li>
  21. Liquid sodium is used as a heat transfer fluid in some fast reactors.<\/li>
  22. The UL for sodium is 2.3 grams per day, about half of US teaspoon, the threshold which could lead to hypertension when exceeded.<\/li>
  23. To isolate Sodium Carbonate (Na2<\/span>CO3<\/span>), seaweed was burned and the ash washed with water.
