  1. It is present in most igneous rocks and in sediments derived from them (as well as in living things and material bodies of water).<\/li>
  2. It is widely distributed and occurs primarily in the minerals Anatase, Brookite, Ilmenite, Perovskite, Rutile and Titanite (Sphene).<\/li>
  3. The metal is extracted from its principal mineral ores via the Kroll Process or the Hunter Process.<\/li>
  4. It can be alloyed with other elements, to produce strong, lightweight alloys.<\/li>
  5. The two most useful properties of the metal are corrosion resistance and the highest strength-to-density ratio of any metallic element.<\/li>
  6. In its unalloyed condition, titanium is as strong as some steels, but less dense.<\/li>
  7. Titanium is 60% more dense than aluminium, but more than twice as strong. It losses strength when heated above 430\u00b0C.<\/li>
  8. Titanium is fairly hard, non-magnetic and a poor conductor of heat and electricity, and extreme corrosion resistance.<\/li>
  9.
