{"id":999,"date":"2021-02-06T13:10:02","date_gmt":"2021-02-06T18:10:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/godshipchurch.com\/?page_id=999"},"modified":"2021-03-20T10:12:01","modified_gmt":"2021-03-20T14:12:01","slug":"arsenic","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/godshipchurch.com\/?page_id=999","title":{"rendered":"Arsenic (33)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Minerals with the formula MA<span style=\"font-size: 12px; line-height: 0; position: relative; vertical-align: baseline; bottom: -0.25em;\">s<\/span>S and Ma<span style=\"font-size: 12px; line-height: 0; position: relative; vertical-align: baseline; bottom: -0.25em;\">s2<\/span>&nbsp;(M = Fe,Ni,Co) are the dominant commercial sources of arsenic, together with REALGAR ( Arsenic Sulfide mineral) &amp; native arsenic.<\/li><li>Arsenopyrite (Fe,As,S) which is related to Iron Pyrite.<\/li><li>Arsenic is recovered as a side product from the purification of Copper.<\/li><li>It is part of the smelter dust from Copper, Gold, &amp; Lead.<\/li><li>Arsenic occurs in many minerals, usually in conjunction with Sulfur &amp; metals.<\/li><li>The main use of metallic arsenic is for strengthening alloys of Copper &amp; especially lead (e.g. in car batteries).<\/li><li>Arsenic is a common N-Type dopant in semiconductor.<\/li><li>Circuits made from Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) are much faster than those made in Silicon.
